๐จ Colors and Describing Things
Learn basic English color words. Practice using colors to describe everyday objects.
Basic Colors
Colors help us describe the world around us. In English, we use the verb 'to be' with colors. For example, we say 'It is red' or 'The pen is blue'. Color words usually go before nouns, like 'a red car', or after the verb 'is', like 'The car is red'.
Asking About Colors
To ask about the color of something, we use the question 'What color is...?'. The answer usually starts with 'It is' or 'They are' followed by the color word. This is very useful when shopping or looking for your things.
Plural Colors
When we talk about more than one thing, we change 'is' to 'are'. We say 'The cats are white' or 'The books are green'. The color word stays the same even if there are many things.
