๐ What Are You Doing Now?
Learn how to talk about actions happening right now. Use the present continuous to describe life at this exact moment.
What is the Present Continuous?
We use the present continuous to talk about things happening right now. We use the verb 'to be' (am, is, are) plus an action word ending in '-ing'. For example, instead of just saying 'I read', we say 'I am reading' if the book is open in front of us at this exact moment.
Forming 'I', 'He', 'She', 'It'
When talking about yourself, use 'am' plus the '-ing' verb. For one other person or thing like he, she, or it, use 'is' plus the '-ing' verb. These are great for describing what people around you are doing right this second.
Forming 'We', 'You', 'They'
When talking about groups or the person you are talking to, use 'are' plus the '-ing' verb. This helps you describe group activities and things happening all around you in real time.
