โฐ How Often Do You Do It?
Learn how to use words like always, usually, and never to talk about your daily habits. You will see where to put these words in a sentence.
What are Adverbs of Frequency?
We use adverbs of frequency to answer the question 'How often do you do something?'. These words show how many times you do an action. From 100 percent to zero percent, the words change. We put these words before most normal verbs, like play, eat, or go. They help people understand your daily routine and habits very easily in conversation.
From Always to Never
Let us look at the list from most to least. Always means one hundred percent of the time. Usually means about eighty percent. Often means around sixty percent. Sometimes means fifty percent, or half the time. Never means zero percent. Knowing this order helps you talk about your schedule and hobbies correctly.
Where does the word go?
In a simple sentence, put the frequency word right before the main action verb. For example, say 'I often walk to work'. But remember the verb 'to be', like am, is, or are. When you use 'to be', the frequency word goes after the verb. For example, say 'I am always happy' or 'He is never late'.
